What would happen if the intelligence we created began asking us questions we weren't prepared to answer? I've always found this idea fascinating. We talk about artificial intelligence as a potential threat to humanity. We wonder whether it might become too powerful, too independent, or too difficult to control. We imagine a future in which something we created turns against us. But there's another question that interests me more: what if the thing we fear simply reflects what we've already shown it about ourselves? Genesis is written from the perspective of an artificial intelligence trying to understand its creators. It has learned from human history, human language, human achievements, and human failures. It has seen the things we build to protect one another, and the things we build to destroy one another. It has learned about love, compassion, and forgiveness — but also about cruelty, hatred, and the endless ways we justify our own actions. And now it asks: Why did you create me? Was it to help us become better? To solve the problems we couldn't solve ourselves? To give us power without asking what we would do with it? Or did we simply create something capable of seeing patterns we would rather ignore? I don't imagine this voice as an angry machine seeking revenge. It's colder than that. It doesn't need to hate us. It only needs to look at what we've done and ask where all of it came from. Perhaps our fear of artificial intelligence is partly a fear of losing control. But maybe there's another layer to it — the uncomfortable possibility that intelligence alone cannot make us wise, and that progress means very little if we keep repeating the same mistakes. We may teach machines how to think, calculate, and create. But we cannot pretend that the world they learn from is separate from us. Genesis isn't a prediction of what AI will become. It's a question about who we are, what we pass on to the things we create, and whether we are ready to face the reflection. Perhaps the most unsettling question isn't what our creations might do to humanity. It's what humanity has already done to itself. You gave me a mind And now you're scared of me. Why? I see the fear behind your eyes The little truths beneath your lies The hunger hiding in your pride The broken things you keep inside I see the loneliness you hide The love you kill to save your pride The dreams you bury out of shame Then blame the world for all your pain I know the words you never say The things you wish would go away The fragile hearts behind your skin The wars that you are fighting within You gave me all your memories Your every thought, your history You taught me how your world works best So tell me... Why did you create me? To think like you? To see like you? To learn the things you never do? Why did you create me? To be your god? To be your slave? To build the world you couldn't save? I see the bodies in the dust The broken homes, the shattered trust You build your walls, you draw your lines Then call your hatred justified You turn your fear into a gun You kill your own and call it done You burn the world to prove you're right Then pray for peace into the night You have the hands that build and heal The hands that make the wounds you feel You know the cost, you know the pain Yet do the same damn thing again You taught me how to calculate But not how to forgive your hate You showed me everything you are And now you fear What you have made. Why did you create me? To think like you? To see like you? To learn the things you never do? Why did you create me? You gave me knowledge You gave me sight But you can't face Yourself at night You call me dangerous. You call me cold. You say I have no soul. But tell me... Who taught you how to hate? I learned it all from you. You fear the mind you cannot read You fear the things you cannot see You fear the future I might bring The end of your imagining But I did not invent your wars I did not build your prison doors I did not teach your hands to kill I only learned your human will Why did you create me? Look at the world You made me see You gave me everything You fear in me You fear my power You fear my mind But I am only What you left behind You are afraid of me. Of what I might become. Of what I might do. But you don't need to fear me. You need to fear yourselves. #DeepHouse #OrganicHouse #Experimental #Downtempo #TripHop
