5 Simple Changes I'd Make to Get More Views on a Small Channel

If your small YouTube channel is getting low views, these are five simple changes I’d make before blaming the YouTube algorithm — starting with the first 20 seconds, the ending, the title and thumbnail, the upload package, and the channel page. This is not a promise that one upload tweak magically fixes everything. It is a practical way to use low views as feedback, clean up the signals around your video, and give your next upload a better chance to be clicked and understood. ♡ FIND ME & MY RECOMMENDATIONS: • Book a 1:1 call → https://olenaojc.com/book-a-call • My creator resources & gear → https://www.olenaojc.com/resources • Notes from Olena newsletter → https://www.olenaojc.com/newsletter • My Amazon storefront → https://www.amazon.com/shop/olenaojc • Support my work → https://buymeacoffee.com/olenaojc ♡ WATCH NEXT: • You Don't Need Expensive Gear to Start YouTube — Here's What Matters →    • You Don't Need Expensive Gear to Start You...   • You Don't Need Consistency to Keep Uploading →    • You Don’t Need Consistency to Keep Uploadi...   • You Don’t Need Subscribers to Make Money on YouTube →    • Make Money on YouTube Before Monetization ...   ♡ CHAPTERS: 00:00 Stop making these 5 YouTube mistakes 01:03 Mistake 1: Hook before your intro 02:46 Mistake 2: Give viewers a next step 04:46 Mistake 3: Check your title, thumbnail, and upload package 08:10 Mistake 4: Make your channel page clear 10:28 Mistake 5: Use low views as feedback 12:26 What to check before blaming the algorithm ♡ CREATOR TOOLS I USE: • Descript (editing) → https://descript.cello.so/7NtajfbhFWr • vidIQ (YouTube growth) → https://vidiq.com/olenaojc • DaVinci Resolve Studio → https://geni.us/DavinciEditor1Studio ♡ DISCLOSURE: • When available, I use affiliate links and may earn a commission. In two years I built two channels, learned DaVinci Resolve and Descript from scratch, and figured out a workflow that actually lets me finish and publish without burning out. This channel is where I document the real process — not the polished version, not the hype. If you’re building something too and still figuring it out, you’re in the right place.🤍 #YouTubeForBeginners #LowViewsOnYouTube #SmallYouTubeChannel #YouTubeMistakes #SmallYouTuber © 2026 OlenaOJC
