👻 HAUNTED CHARLESTON WITH VIKKI EPISODE 02 – THE LOST LOVE OF ANNABEL LEE The Unitarian Graveyard Investigation WHAT DO YOU HEAR? I WANT TO HEAR FROM EVERYONE! Step through the gates of Charleston’s historic Unitarian graveyard as we explore a haunting tale of forbidden love, heartbreak, and a mysterious woman said to wander among the graves. In Episode 02, we’re uncovering the legend of Annabel Lee, exploring Edgar Allan Poe’s fascinating connection to Charleston, and venturing into the graveyard for my original spirit-box investigation. 🥀 THE LOST LOVE OF ANNABEL LEE According to Charleston folklore, a beautiful young woman named Annabel Lee fell deeply in love with a sailor, but her father disapproved of their relationship. The lovers were separated, and Annabel is said to have died of yellow fever before her sweetheart returned. When the sailor finally came back to Charleston, he desperately searched for her grave but could not find her final resting place. Some say a mysterious woman in white still wanders the cemetery, searching for the love she lost. This is a local ghost legend rather than a verified historical account. 📜 THE EDGAR ALLAN POE CONNECTION Did you know Edgar Allan Poe actually served in the Charleston area? Born January 19, 1809, in Boston, Massachusetts, Poe enlisted in the United States Army at age 18 under the assumed name Edgar A. Perry. From November 1827 to December 1828, he served at Fort Moultrie on nearby Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. Years later, his famous poem Annabel Lee was published in 1849. Although Poe’s military service is documented history, there is no verified evidence that his poem was inspired by a woman buried in Charleston’s Unitarian graveyard. That connection remains part of local folklore. 🔦 THE SPIRIT BOX INVESTIGATION Come along on my original, unedited walkthrough of the Unitarian graveyard. During the investigation, one particular interaction caught my attention. I’ll replay it TWICE: FIRST: Listen without subtitles and decide what YOU hear. SECOND: I’ll show you the words I believe I heard. But please don’t focus only on that one interaction! 🎧 I WANT TO HEAR FROM EVERYONE! Listen carefully throughout my ENTIRE spirit-box walkthrough. Did you hear the same thing I did? Something completely different? Did you catch another word, phrase, or unusual sound that I missed? Or did you hear nothing recognizable at all? EVERY INTERPRETATION IS WELCOME! 👇 PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT WITH: ⏱️ The exact timestamp. 👂 What YOU believe you heard. 🔦 Anything you noticed that I didn’t mention. Please don’t let my interpretation influence yours. Spirit boxes scan radio frequencies, and sounds may have ordinary explanations. I want everyone to experience the recording and draw their own conclusions. This isn’t just my investigation. It’s OUR investigation! ❤️ LIKE • COMMENT • SHARE • SUBSCRIBE Thank you for joining me on another Haunted Charleston adventure!
