Chouffe Marathon 2024

Chouffe Marathon 2024, 95km and 2750m of elevation. Apparantly it started raining the night before, from 11.00pm until 08.00am. So completely soaked trails were on the menu today. The track became extremely slippery, technical and very hard! If was 5.5hrs of pedalpushing and full concentration to keep the rubber side down. Finished on place 76 out of 263 rider and place 23 in my age group (M1). Not the result I was hoping for, but that's I had in my legs. This was the final effort in a 3 week training block, now I'll have a quick recoveryweek and then it's full-gazz to the Houffagravel race where I want to grab my ticket for the worlds and a week later XCM nationals. Let's see how that turns out!
