What does it really cost to overland Laos in your own campervan? We tracked every kip we spent during 11 days driving through northern Laos, from the Thai border to Boten on the Chinese border. 🇱🇦🚐 In this episode of What It Really Cost, Darryl breaks down our actual costs for travelling through Laos in It Zwibble, including diesel, tolls, food and drink, sightseeing, vehicle insurance, visas, SIM cards, laundry, ATM fees and those all-important miscellaneous expenses. And this time we have an especially interesting comparison. Just a few weeks earlier, we'd spent 10 days travelling through southern Laos without our campervan. So after working out our overlanding cost per person, per day, we compare the two trips and look at just how much our style of travel changed what we spent. These are our actual expenses, not a suggested Laos travel budget.
