According to the latest IMD forecast, the storm is expected to strengthen into a very severe cyclonic storm before crossing the Andhra Pradesh coast between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on October 28. Wind speeds may reach 115–125 kmph, with gusts up to 140 kmph. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is also expected in parts of Odisha as the system moves inland after landfall.
