I’ve split the ARC system into three levels. Not because the principles change, but because the intensity should. Level 1 is the foundation. Awareness, verbal skills and simple protective responses, taught at a level suitable for first-timers, younger people or anyone who doesn’t need high-intensity training. Level 2 becomes more immersive. More physical, more scenario-based and more decision-making under pressure. Then there’s Level 3. This video is Level 3 students pressure testing. At this level, we deliberately introduce stress, fatigue, aggression, confusion and unpredictability. The aim isn’t to make techniques look clean. It’s to find out whether they still work when things stop being clean. Can you think while your heart rate is through the roof? Can you make decisions while someone is putting you under genuine pressure? Can you keep functioning when the situation doesn’t unfold the way you expected? Pressure testing exposes weaknesses that cooperative training can hide. That’s exactly why we do it. Same ARC system. Same principles. Different levels of intensity depending on who I’m teaching and what I’m preparing them for. Awareness. Response. Control.
