At Wates, we believe that creating a positive legacy means investing not only in the projects we deliver, but also in the people and communities around them. This summer on the AESC UK project, our teams have been involved in a range of initiatives as part of Community & Conservation Month, our Summer Start Right campaign, and engagement activities supporting the redevelopment of the SSSTS Supervisor Training programme. From reinforcing a back-to-basics approach to safety and wellbeing, to supporting local charities, community gardens and volunteer-led organisations across Sunderland, our people have taken time to make a meaningful difference both on and off site. We have also worked with industry partners to help shape future supervisor training, ensuring the learning experience remains relevant, engaging and effective for the next generation of construction leaders.
