BOOKTOK RUINED READING: Diversity, Algorithms, Overconsumption, Smut Shaming, “why do YOU care?”

Hey yalll!! I know - this video format is very different from my normal content. This style is slightly out of my comfort zone but I really enjoyed chatting about this topic and trying something different. I also didn’t cut it/edit it so much to give it more of a real life/real conversation feel. (Normally I’d cut out All the Um’s, stutters and thinking pauses lol). I didn’t want to restrict myself either with my thoughts on this. It’s a FULL think piece yall 😂 This is video you can either watch or enjoy playing in the background. (One of my favorite styles of videos). We talk about diversity, smut shaming, overconsumption and the idea that platforms have ruined reading. I had initially planned on only addressing the “booktok ruined reading” but with the nature of the comments I was responding to, the think piece naturally segued into those other topics. I’m interested to hear/see y’all’s thoughts in the comments. I do ask that yall keep it respectful. Although I’m confident the 12 of yall watching (love yall❤️) will 😂🫂 Thank you for watching and listening to me YAP 💞 G CONNECT WITH ME📱 TikTok: missxgabi https://www.tiktok.com/@missxgabi?_r=...
