When he realizes the mistake he has made and finds himself in a dire situation, he decides to return to his father, hoping to work as a servant. However, upon seeing his son return, the father joyfully welcomes him back with open arms, showing unconditional love and forgiveness. The story of the prodigal son teaches valuable lessons about God's love and mercy.
