The $100,000 Decision That Changed Michigan State Football

Nick Saban was at Michigan State in 1999 after a 9-2 season. MSU had promised him a $100,000 bonus. They didn’t pay it. An administrator told him nobody cares about the money. So he left for LSU. This video breaks down what actually happened after he left, what Saban went on to do (7 national championships), and the realistic “what if” for Michigan State. Could MSU have been a consistent top-10 program? Or was the ceiling always lower than Alabama?
