Emeritus Archbishop Peter Kwasi Sarpong, retired as Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Catholic Church is well noted for being culturally situated.
This has not come without criticisms though as earlier, others were of the opinion that he was over doing it.
In his own words, one cannot be more Catholic than say being Asante and vice versa. The need to integrate culture and traditions is very important to sutuate the Church in Society, thus preventing spiritual and mental colonialism.
Archbishop Sarpong is a prolific writer who has several books and series including Letters to Nana and recently, 'from the hut to Oxford', an autobiography.
