Gründonnerstag vervollständigt die Vereinigung zwischen der Kirche und dem Himmel. Während des Tages erwarten wir gespannt die Kreuzigung des Herrn und rufen uns seine letzten Taten und seine liebevollen Worte an die Menschheit in Erinnerung. Im folgenden die Ereignisse dieses Tages: 1. Vorbereitung des Paschafestes. Unser Herr trögt dem hl. Petrus und Johannes auf, Brot, Wein, das Paschalamm und alles nötige dafür zu organisieren. Wir beten die ersten neun Stunden des Gründonnerstags. 2. Die Fusswaschung der Jünger ist für uns die Liturgie der Wasserweihe. 3. Die Ausführung des letzten Abendmahls, das Pascha des neuen Testamentes, feiern wir in der göttlichen Liturgie der Eucharistie 4. Die Ereignisse bis zum Verrat hören wir in der elften Stunde 5. Institution the Last Supper, the Passover of the New Testament—in which we celebrate the Divine Liturgy of the Eucharist. 4. Events leading up to the betrayal is heard in the 11th hour. 5. Prayer of our Lord in Gethsemane takes the theme of the Evening prayers.
