Theremin Performer Plays Hallelujah on Theremin (Cover)

Today, I bring you my full-length SHREK-inspired theremin cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on my Moog Claravox theremin. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE :) Hallelujah is such a beautiful song but has some deep meaning. I first heard Hallelujah in the 2001 film "Shrek". That scene always made me tear up! JOIN MY LIVE THEREMIN KARAOKE STREAMS! Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday @ 7 pm ET / 6 pm CT / 4 pm PT ANY Song! Leon Theremin invented this instrument way back around 1919/1920 in Soviet Russia. He began toying with a device that measure some sort of gas. Leon added an oscillator to the gas measuring device and it began to interact with his hands. The theremin is played without any physical contact. Theremins have usually one or two antennas one controlling pitch and the other controlling volume. The musical instrument uses electro-magnetic technology to sense how far your hands are from the antennas.
