They said techno was getting too hard. They said people like me should know when to stop.
Well, I've got news for them.
This is hard, dirty, industrial techno with a serious gabber attitude. No commercial nonsense. No playing safe. Just original music, hardware and beats made to hit hard.
I'm Nick Hayes, The Last DJ. I'm 69, still making my own music and still refusing to follow anybody else's rules.
If this is too hard for you, perhaps techno isn't the problem.
Turn it up. 🔊

Watch a raw hard techno performance filmed in my backyard. I am proving that you do not need a studio to create brutal beats.
Most people expect a polished setup for electronic music production, but I prefer the grit of the outdoors. With just two bins and my gear, I am stripping away the pretension and focusing entirely on the rhythm. This is a real, unfiltered look at how I craft my sound away from the expectations of the local scene.
This backyard performance is for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider looking for their own way to make a mark. If you appreciate industrial music that refuses to be watered down, you are in the right place. I am not here to follow the rules or seek approval, just to create something honest in the open air.
Does this setup inspire you to create with what you have, or do you prefer a traditional studio? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
