Pekoe Trail Stage 05 | Pundaluoya to Watagoda | Srilanka

Pekoe  Trail is 300+ km walking trail through central highlands of Srilanka covering Beautiful tea estates , Scenic  locations and historical places. It connects three districts Kandy , Badulla and Nuwara Eliya . Trail is divided in to 22 stages Starting from Hantana and end at Pedro Estate , Nuwara Eliya  Stage 05 is from  Pundaluoya to Watagoda which is little more than 14 km . Trail runs through beautiful Meddekumbura village and Meddecombra tea estate. Also path runs around the base of majestic Dimbula Hills . Also in this journey we have done a detour to a beautiful location called " Meddekumbura Bridge " which is 500 m away from the path . ( at 7 km mark ). You can also have a nice cool dip in Kotmale Stream with care .  Special feature of this stage is that you have to end the journey with a continues ascend . All the other stages ( 1-4 ) ended up with a considerable descend . So better to manage your time without wasting time in the beginning. This video is done in Sinhalese language .But there are English subtitles so as to give information to foreign travellers .You can share the video with your foreign friends. But stage 4 , we did not come across any signs till we reach 7km mark ( abandoned tea factory called "Choisy" ).  Also now stage 5 is also well marked .
