This 100-Proof Japanese Whisky Made Him Choke — Taphaven #78

The Japanese whisky arc ends here — and not with a bang. Shinobu Newborn is a 100-proof single malt built around Niigata's "three white treasures" (snow, rice and sake), and it lands as the weakest of the three: floral, airy, and with no body at all. Final scores: 1.5 / 2 / 2, no Designated Drink. Plus the UK scrapyard dealer arrested over a haul of Sega dev-kit hardware, and RAM price fixing pushing builds past $3,000.
