Contextual Learning: training that arrives when users make a mistake
Contextual Learning is the ERMES feature that delivers training at the exact moment someone takes a risky action, instead of leaving it to a yearly course people finish by ticking a box. It’s available in both ERMES - AI Security and ERMES - Browser Security.
How it works:
A user is working in the browser and tries to do something company policy doesn’t allow. For example, uploading data to an unauthorized website, or pasting an email with an employee’s sick-leave details into ChatGPT.
ERMES steps in as it already does: it blocks the action or warns the user, depending on the policy the company has chosen.
A training pill appears on the block screen. It’s a short lesson built around the exact example that got the user stopped.
A short quiz asks the user why they think they were blocked.
After answering, the user sees where they went wrong and how to avoid the same mistake in the future.
From a dashboard, they can review every pill they’ve completed and the ones they still have to do.
The lesson opens alongside the user’s browsing, so it doesn’t interrupt their work. The result is training tied to real behavior, in the context where it happened.
This video is for anyone working in security, compliance or corporate training who wants to reduce user errors, not just block them.
Contextual Learning will be available starting January 2027.
