PoE Veteran Discovers Diablo 2's OP Gear System

We finally come across runewords and start equipping them. We take out three bosses over the last acts; Mephisto, Diablo and Baal, with our new overpowered runewords in Stealth and Ancient's Pledge and finish up normal difficulty, unlocking nightmare. As a PoE player I felt it was about time I finally dove into the game that inspired the developers and actually play it for myself and see why it's considered such a staple in ARPGs. 26 years later, but better late than never. This series is all about sharing my first impressions, confusions and challenges diving blindly into Diablo 2, with help from the chat at times.
