Purulia Tour 2025 : Biharinath | Bheti Palash Ban | Baranti Lake | Garh Panchkot | Panchet Dam

A biking tour to #Purulia during the spring which is the time when the Palash and Simul flowers bloom. Historically, palash originated in Bihar and Jharkhand. We started our journey from Riverside of Burnpur by crossing the make-shift wooden bridge to cross the Damodar river and reach Bankura. From there we traveled to #Biharinath Hill where we visited the Biharinath Temple which is a holy shrine dedicated to lord shiva. Next we traveled towards Muradi of Purulia where on the way we visited the #BhetiPalashBan which is a small jungle of Palash trees. From there we then visited the Baranti Lake which was nearby. After Baranti we traveled to Panchet hill to visit the ruins of the #GarhPanchkot. Here we did a nature trail to visit the ruins of temples located up on the Panchet hill. After returning from the hill we had our lunch at a local eatery and then traveled towards the #PanchetDam. This was our last place to visit. We watched the sunset from the Panchet Dam and then returned back to our home at Asansol. With that we come to the end of our day trip.
