Appel Any% in 3:49.81 [WR]

THE FIRST-EVER 3.49.XXX!!!!!! I'm not sure where to begin, but... I’ve thought about quitting Appel many times because of how tough this journey has been. But I’m proud to have overcome all those struggles and achieved the final milestone in this game! 3 years ago, I was speedrunning another game on a different account when I discovered Appel. Back then, the world record was 3:50.20, achieved with cheats. I still vividly remember asking @MichaelChan, “When do you think you’ll break 3:50?” I never thought I’d be the first to actually do it. This run is nearly perfect, though it’s a shame I lost 5 frames at the start of L4. Without that loss, the time would have been 3:49.66. But I don’t mind! Achieving the first-ever 3:49.XXX was my biggest goal. I’m truly proud of it. Regarding what comes next. Up until now, I’ve almost exclusively focused on the Any% category, but moving forward, I plan to try my hand at other categories as well! Once again, I’m so happy to have finally achieved the 3:49.XXX the Appel community has been chasing for over 3 years! That said, the full game doesn't end here! Perhaps one day, someone will manage to achieve a 3.48.XXX! Full video:    • Day 5 - Any% WR / 3:49.XXX Attempts!   Music:    • Hopes and Dreams "Orchestrated"      • Finale
