Bush - Alien - San Francisco, Live, 9-20-11, 1st row in HD, at the Great American Music Hall. Gavin Rossdale came into the 1st row so many times, I lost count. :P Other Tidbits: Gavin Rossdale was so in tune with the front row audience it was almost startling.. it's definitely something I had never seen before. For example, during 'I Believe In You', Gavin kneeled about 2 feet away from me to do a guitar solo. I was nodding my head to the beat, and Rossdale looked up at me, made eye contact, stared and smiled. But even more of an example was when Gavin was playing Greedy Fly. A pick flew out of his hand while he was strumming, it landed on the subwoofer in front of the front row, and the 2 women to the right of me made a mad grab for it, and the woman 2 places to my right got it. Gavin saw this, and immediately proceeded to take a pick off his microphone stand (while he is still performing, mind you), and specifically handed it to the blond woman who missed out on grabbing the pick. Humorously enough, the 2 women are friends and were 3rd and 4th in line. I was 5th. And to top it off, at the end of the concert, Gavin leaned over and hugged the same blond woman to say goodbye. And I guess that explains why there's a constant chorus of women screaming screaming throughout the show, lol. I did catch a pick from guitarist Chris Traynor, though :P It's a black Gator Grip which reads 'BUSH' on one side and 'CHRIS TRAYNOR' on the other side. The ones Gavin uses have no band-specific markings on it and it just reads 'Medium'. One of the roadies we were talking to gave out a pair to us. And yep, same the 2 women got them. I didn't mind.. they held my place in line when someone tried to cut in, so everybody won. :P Before the concert, Chris Traynor actually came outside to chat with the 5 of us who were waiting in line early. He also spent some time talking outside with the members of the band Dead Sara, who were joking around while throwing fun snaps at the ground. Later on, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara sang one of her songs to my face, which was pretty funny. Gavin Rossdale did something similar when singing 'The Heart of the Matter', but in his case, he actually went into the 1st row about 5 places to my left and sung almost the entire song to one woman. For 'The Afterlife' Gavin went into the balcony, spending time singing in several areas and serenaded a pair of women there. All the other times Gavin Rossdale went into the crowd he would lean over the first row and let all the fans touch him while he played for a minute or so. He was quite sweaty :P Setlist: 1.
