“Oh Tú, buen Dios (O Thou Kind God)” by Alicia Perdu

Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music. In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, we’re in Marbella, Spain with Alicia Perdu who sings “Oh Tú, buen Dios (O Thou Kind God)” in Spanish based on the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha. This song was filmed and recorded in Marbella, Spain in July 2023. LYRICS/QUOTE: ¡Oh Tú, buen Dios! Tú eres para mí más amable que yo mismo y tu amor es más abundante y antiguo. Siempre que me acuerdo de tus dones, me siento feliz y con esperanzas. Si he estado agitado, consigo paz y tranquilidad de alma y corazón. Si soy desleal, me vuelvo leal. Si he estado sin esperanza, vuelvo a sentirla. LYRICS/QUOTE IN ENGLISH: O thou kind God! To me thou art kinder than myself, and thy love is more abundant and more ancient. Whenever I am reminded of thy bestowals I am made happy and hopeful. If I have been agitated I obtain ease of heart and soul. If I am sick, I gain eternal health. If I am disloyal, I become loyal. If I have been hopeless, I become hopeful. CHORDS: C ¡Oh Tú, buen Dios! Am9 Tú eres para mí F más amable que yo mismo E7 (5th fret) Am7 (5th fret) D9 (4th fret) y tu amor es más abundante y antiguo.
