Your bearded dragon did something today that you completely ignored — and it was a direct message aimed at you.
16 behaviors decoded: the arm wave, the pancake flatten, head bobbing, glass surfing, beard darkening, wall staring, closed eyes during handling, digging, running to the front glass, puffing up in the bath, licking everything, colour changes and stress lines, head tilting, refusing food in winter, staring at you from across the room, and the one they do when they settle against your chest.

Most of these have two completely different meanings depending on context — and confusing them is the most common mistake in the hobby. The flatten that means comfort and the flatten that means predator response look almost identical. So does the fast head bob and the slow one.
Number 16 is the one I'd sit with. It's the quietest thing on this list and the most honest.
Which of these does yours do?
⚡ THREE THINGS FROM THIS VIDEO YOU CAN FIX TODAY
Reflections. If your beardie arm waves or glass surfs at the front panel for no obvious reason, they may be seeing their own reflection and reading it as a rival they can't escape. Black backing on the outside of the glass removes it entirely.
Overhead approach. Reaching down from above is, in the language their nervous system speaks, a bird of prey. Come in from the side, at or below eye level.
A laybox for every female. Females can develop and lay infertile eggs without ever meeting a male. A female who can't complete that digging and laying sequence risks egg binding, which is life-threatening. Every female needs somewhere suitable to dig, available at all times.

✅ Reptile Feeding Tongs (2-pack, rubber tips) — keeps your scent out of the feeding routine, which is exactly the confusion behind #11.
