They were the faces that made a whole country smile. The funny kid next door. The lovable little brother. The child star we grew up watching every single week, sure that they were living a charmed, happy life far away from our own. We assumed they grew up rich, safe, and adored forever. But fame is one of the cruelest things in the world — and Hollywood has a very short memory. When the cameras stopped rolling and the fan mail stopped coming, many of these beloved stars were simply left behind. The money vanished. The phone stopped ringing. And some of the sweetest faces in television history spent their final years broke, alone, and heartbroken — a few of them dying in poverty and obscurity so complete that the world barely noticed they were gone. In this video we remember 15 of them — and their stories will break your heart. From Disney's Bobby Driscoll and the Little Rascals' Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Darla, and Stymie, to Diff'rent Strokes' Dana Plato and Gary Coleman, the sweet child stars of Family Affair, Lassie, Father Knows Best, Make Room for Daddy, and more. These were children we loved — and the same industry that put them on every screen forgot them the moment the ratings dropped. This is our tribute to them. They deserved so much better. 🕯️ Rest in peace to all of these forgotten stars. 👉 LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to help us keep their memory alive. 💬 Which of these stars do you remember and love?
