Track Record - Episode 5 - Matt Headland (Warner Music Group and EMI)

In todays episode we flip the script. I talk with Matt Headland who was a record executive who worked at Warner Music Group, Telstar Records, MTV Australia and Mediaworks. He was also promoted to the General Manager for EMI New Zealand at the young age of 30. Matt and I discuss his pathway to the top job in New Zealand recorded music, things he learnt along the way and how he navigated the changing musical landscape with the introduction of streaming.
