NORTHWARD [Epic Side B Songs] - Rune Sounds feat. AiRadio197.2FM

NEW STUFF - EPIC SIDE B SONGS NORTHWARD - Lyrics by Rune Sounds feat. AiRadio197.2FM [Intro] When the northern sea breaks open And the mountains answer back We will raise the old red banner We will follow the raven track [Verse 1: Male] From the fir-clad ridge I watched the morning split the snow My father's iron compass pointed where the cold winds go I tied his weathered charm beside the buckle of my shield And heard the distant horns awake beyond the frozen field [Verse 2: Female] I came down from the headland with a map beneath my coat A silver ring, a letter, and the name the skalds forgot You asked me if I feared the pass, the storm, the dark below I said, “I fear a life that never dares to meet the snow” [Pre-Chorus: Duet] So take my hand, the tide is turning The long road calls, the braziers burn [Chorus: Duet] Northward, northward, carry our name Over the ridges, into the flame Shoulder to shoulder, heart against storm We are the keepers of what we have sworn Northward, northward, answer the call Raise up the banner, stand through it all When the last winter lays claim to the land We’ll face the dawn together, hand in hand [Verse 3: Male] We crossed the blackened scree where every footfall shook the stone And shared the final loaf beneath a sky of iron-blue At night I told you how the old songs made a king of me You laughed and said, “A truer crown is choosing what you do” [Verse 4: Female] At the pass we found a village with its gate torn from the wall So we set our packs beside them and we answered every call No gold could buy the courage in the hands that held the line And when the dawn came pouring through, your battered shield met mine [Pre-Chorus: Duet] So take my hand, the tide is turning The long road calls, the braziers burn [Chorus: Duet] Northward, northward, carry our name Over the ridges, into the flame Shoulder to shoulder, heart against storm We are the keepers of what we have sworn Northward, northward, answer the call Raise up the banner, stand through it all When the last winter lays claim to the land We’ll face the dawn together, hand in hand [Bridge: Male] If my voice should fail, remember I was never made of stone [Bridge: Female] If the road should split between us Still you’ll never walk alone [Bridge: Duet] For the brave are not unbroken They are those who choose to stand And the strongest oath is spoken With another’s hand in hand [Guitar Solo] [Final Chorus: Duet] Northward, northward, carry our name Over the ridges, into the flame Shoulder to shoulder, heart against storm We are the keepers of what we have sworn Northward, northward, answer the call Raise up the banner, stand through it all When the last winter lays claim to the land We’ll face the dawn together, hand in hand [Outro: Duet] Northward, northward, our voices remain Northward, northward, beyond the rain Together we stand, together we ride The legend of the North is alive #airadio #nordicmusic #vikingmetal #powermetal #nordicsound #vikingsaga #aimusic #vikingmusic
