To be a FLY ON THE WALL at Olympic... I have stated "ad infinitum" during my previous Master Hendrix releases, it was in fact Master Wood and not Master Winwood who seemed to have jammed with Master Hendrix on a multitude of jam sessions... Without Question, Master Wood's most recognised session with Master Hendrix is his "ethereal" Flute strokes on "1983..." This very session is from very early 1969 {around the time of the infamous TRAFFIC break-up and the rise of BLIND FAITH}... To this day, some of the details of this HISTORIC jam is uncertain... especially the fact that there is significant Trumpet play all throughout... To my recollection Master Wood never recorded with a Trumpet... However, it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility... {Any further info on potential suitors for the rest of the Horns would be very welcome} _________________________________________________________________________ Info Update: INCREDIBLE... Many Thanks to Vinnie, one of Master Wood's best friends, I have now come to the conclusion that ALL the Horns that we hear on this track are layered by Master Wood himself, including the Trumpet thanks to Master Wood's trusted "Maestro" - A Soundsystem for Woodwinds {For a picture of Master Wood's "Maestro", please see    / @berkinaltinok  } WIZARD... As Vinnie is suggesting, Master Wood could most likely be using his Tenor Sax through the "Maestro" to create the Trumpet sound... I can only hope that at the time Master Harris heard this jam and was proud of him... INSANE... __________________________________________________________________________ Having said all of that, there is no "Dispute Or Confusion" regarding the sound of Master Wood's Soprano Saxophone all throughout thanks to the officially confirmed release of "Love Or Confusion" back in 2010... On the day, besides Master Wood, Master Redding & Master Mitchell, we also get Master Dzidzornu on assorted percussions... A TRUE GEM... Enjoy Loud...
