Peaceful African Village Life in My 20s | Daily Farm Routine at the Aberdares Highlands in Kenya

Join me, a young African village boy in my 20s, as I share a full day of life at the foot of the Aberdare mountain ranges in Kenya. My day begins with a simple yet delicious breakfast of chapati and milk tea, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of our flower beds. After that, I head to the chicken coop to let out the chickens and feed them with maize. Later, I transport firewood from our store to grandma’s house, where she is already busy preparing lunch. Together, we arrange the firewood on the drying rack. The afternoon is spent milking our cows, feeding them with fodder and cabbages, and caring for our rabbits with fresh kales and weeds. I also take time to cover our compost heap from the rain, weed our spring onions, and clean up the rabbit area.From sunrise to sunset, this is my daily routine — a mix of hard work, family, animals, farming, and the beautiful views of the Aberdares. Life here is simple, but it is deeply fulfilling.
