Summer Afternoon is a 1-hour Persian jazz fusion session for hot courtyard hours, ivy on brick walls, wet tiles, and the quiet relief that comes when water touches the day. “Summer Afternoon.” There is a particular hour in summer when the heat stops feeling dramatic and simply becomes part of the house. Lunch is over, the street is quieter, the light has turned slower, and someone steps into the courtyard with a hose in hand. Water runs across the tiles, darkens the ground, touches the roots, and for a few moments the whole space breathes differently. This session was made for that hour; for brick walls warmed by sun, potted plants kept alive by hand, wet dust rising into the air, and the calm that comes just before evening tea.
