In this powerful message from 2 Kings 6:1-7 and Isaiah 60:1-3, we are reminded that we are called to build, work together, and walk in the unique anointing God has placed on our lives. You cannot build your life on a borrowed anointing. God wants to move you from a borrowing level to an owning level.
The question is: Where did your axe fall?
What are you going through that is causing you to lose your spiritual edge, your passion, your effectiveness, or your desire to pursue God? Losing your urge can create a playground for the enemy but God is calling you back to purpose, power, and effectiveness.
As Paul said, “Imitate me, as I imitate Christ.” We are called to learn from others, but ultimately to develop our own walk with God and discover the purpose for which we have been anointed.
If you need power, you need to wait. If you have lost your edge, cry out to God. And if God is calling you deeper, ask yourself:
Where is your Jerusalem?
It’s time to rise, shine, recover your edge, and step into what God has uniquely called you to build.
