BOMBSHELL! Alex Eala Joins Djokovic, Sinner & Sabalenka In 2026’s BIGGEST Tennis Shocks!

Alex Eala's stunning Wimbledon victory over defending champion Iga Swiatek has been named one of the biggest tennis shocks of 2026 by Tennis365. The 21-year-old Filipino defeated Swiatek 7-6(9), 6-2 on Centre Court to become the first player from the Philippines to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam. Eala joins an elite list of 2026 shocks that includes Jannik Sinner's collapse at Roland Garros, Aryna Sabalenka's stunning loss at the French Open, and Novak Djokovic's late-night US Open exit. "This goes out to all the little girls with ruffled socks and chubby cheeks," Eala said after her victory. "It means the world." The recognition from Tennis365 validates Eala's rise from a rising prospect to a global star. Now, with Wuhan approaching, she looks to build on the momentum of her historic Wimbledon run.
