Super Mario 64 Restored - Bob-Omb Battlefield (Main Theme)

Bob-Omb Battlefield (or Main Theme) from Super Mario 64, remastered using the original synth and sample CD sources and a MIDI rip of the original sequence from the DS remake. This restoration/remaster was made by me, but inspired by Church of Kondo. Note: One of the most difficult parts of restoring/remastering a song is to decide for each instrument how faithful it should be to the in-game version. Many instruments are originally stereo and multi-sampled, while in-game usually 1-3 samples are used, and they are compressed, converted to mono and sometimes shortened. The most faithful approach would be to make the result end up sounding exactly as it does in-game, destroying the purpose of making a restoration. The least faithful but highest quality approach would sound better in terms of sound but not so nostalgic at all. Example:    • Видео  . So ultimately, choices had to be made. For most instruments I decided to only use the samples that were also used in-game, but I did leave them in stereo and uncompressed. I also put a little reverb on some instruments. Reverb isn't present in-game, but it is in the Super Mario 64 OST/album version. (Yes, there's an album, and its tracks are actually re-rendered and somewhat better quality-wise but still not fully uncompressed. Also the mixing is different, like the volume balance between instruments, so it's not that faithful either.)
