In this series, Tony is going to explore the river intimately as he makes the 200-mile journey from source to sea to discover what makes it one of the greatest rivers in the world. Along the way, he meets and immerses himself in the lives of those who work along the river and explores how the Thames has shaped the history and culture of Britain.
