In this episode of British Icons Uncovered, we examine John Lennon's marriage to Cynthia — from their rushed 1962 wedding and the decision to keep their marriage secret, to the birth of Julian Lennon, the collapse of their relationship, and the bitter divorce proceedings that followed. Cynthia was hidden from the public during the height of Beatlemania. Lennon later pursued the divorce and sought sole custody of Julian. The eventual settlement included a trust for their son, with conditions surrounding how the money could be accessed.
