Tokyo Xtreme Racer (TXR1), known as Tokyo Highway Challenge in Europe and Shutokō Battle (首都高バトル, Shutokō Batoru) in Japan, is a racing video game released for the Sega Dreamcast in 1999 as one of its launch titles. This game, one of the first mission-based racing games, involves challenging other drivers on Tokyo's Shuto Expressway to earn money for car modifications. Featuring a variety of Japanese cars and tuning parts, players progress by defeating rivals. In Japan, Shutokō Battle became one of the best-selling Dreamcast titles, drawing inspiration from the highway racing culture on Tokyo's Wangan highway, a popular phenomenon in Japan since the 1990s, and influenced by manga and anime such as Wangan Midnight, as well as other video games like C1 Circuit, Wangan Trial, and Naniwa Wangan Battle. #TokyoXtremeRacer #Dreamcast #racing #TXR #TXR1 #Gameplay #Walkthrough #retro #retrogaming ‒‒‒‒‒‒‒ ⏱ TIMESTAMPS ⏱ 0:00:00 - Intro 0:00:51 - Day 1 0:14:51 - Day 2 0:20:19 - Team Leader - Rolling Dude 1 (Rolling Guy) 0:21:44 - Day 2 (Cont.) 0:25:08 - Day 3 0:32:49 - Day 4 0:36:21 - Team Leader - 300-Mile Red Ruby (Elegant Wild) 0:37:41 - Boss - Grim Reaper (The Four Devas) 0:38:42 - Day 4 (Cont.) 0:41:00 - Team Leader - North Star (SS Limited) 0:42:35 - Day 4 (Cont.) 0:44:51 - Day 5 0:50:12 - Day 6 0:55:31 - Day 7 1:01:05 - Team Leader - Lightning Shift Takuya (Diamond Image) 1:02:35 - Boss - Midnight Cinderella (The Four Devas) 1:04:15 - Day 7 (Cont.) 1:06:24 - Day 8 1:17:20 - Day 9 1:26:31 - Day 10 1:29:19 - Team Leader - Red Comet (Fine Drive) 1:30:51 - Day 10 (Cont.) 1:31:44 - Team Leader - Prince of the Highways (Curving Edge) 1:33:07 - Boss - Nocturnal Wolf (The Four Devas) 1:35:07 - Day 10 (Cont.) 1:38:05 - Day 11 1:47:20 - Day 12 1:57:04 - Day 13 2:04:12 - Team Leader - Io (Tokio Jungle) 2:05:36 - Day 14 2:17:10 - Day 15 2:24:24 - Day 16 2:25:56 - Team Leader - Bloody Rose (Max Racing) 2:27:52 - Day 17 2:32:08 - Boss - Banshee (The Four Devas) 2:33:30 - Ending (First Ending) 2:34:00 - Day 18 2:36:00 - Team Leader - Drift Dancer (R.Gangs) 2:37:47 - Day 18 (Cont.) 2:41:46 - Team Leader - Tarmac Suzuki (Top Level) 2:43:34 - Day 19 2:47:17 - Team Leader - Time's Cloud (Speed Box) 2:48:34 - Boss - Raven Blood (The Four Devils) 2:50:23 - Day 19 (Cont.) 2:53:46 - Team Leader - Sonic Runner (Cupid Arrows) 2:55:11 - Day 20 2:58:39 - Team Leader - Blue Comet (Free Way) 3:00:04 - Day 20 (Cont.) 3:04:39 - Day 21 3:05:51 - Team Leader - Blue Speed (Another Star) 3:07:27 - Boss - Exhaust Eve (The Four Devils) 3:08:39 - Day 21 (Cont.) 3:15:09 - Day 22 3:24:13 - Day 23 3:29:32 - Team Leader - Unstoppable Black Dragon (TR Racing) 3:31:00 - Day 23 (Cont.) 3:32:37 - Day 24 3:34:01 - Team Leader - Shimmering Illusion (Twister) 3:35:12 - Day 24 (Cont.) 3:41:07 - Day 25 3:44:29 - Team Leader - Iceman (Speed Master) 3:45:37 - Boss - ZERO (The Four Devils) 3:47:09 - Day 25 (Cont.) 3:50:39 - Team Leader - Wolf's Requiem (Wind Stars) 3:52:13 - Day 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 - Finding New Rivals 3:54:18 - Team Leader - Silver Duke (R.R.) 3:55:48 - Day 31 3:56:58 - Team Leader - Lonely Jackal (Rings) 3:58:39 - Boss - ??? This car can only be unlocked outside Quest Mode by beating 100 rivals in Quick Race mode. • The end credits roll out twice: once when you beat The Four Devas and again when you beat The Four Devils. Both endings are the same, so I cut the first one and left the second. ✦ Enjoyed this video?
