EP Desk, Pasighat, August 22: Glow Box, a new beauty and lifestyle store, was inaugurated on Saturday at Smart Bazaar Complex, Main Market, Pasighat, offering cosmetics, beauty products, accessories, nail-care products and locally made products from Self-Help Groups under one roof. Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC), East Siang, Ruth Tabing Boko, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Boko appreciated the initiative and said it was encouraging to witness women making progress in entrepreneurship. She emphasised the importance of supporting and encouraging women entrepreneurs, describing their growth in business as an empowering development for the community. She also praised the owners for taking the initiative to establish the new venture in Pasighat. One of the major attractions of Glow Box is its full-face makeup testing facility, which the store describes as the first of its kind in Pasighat. The facility allows customers to try makeup products before purchasing them, providing a more personalised shopping experience. The store also features Glow Nail, adding nail-care and beauty services to its offerings. Besides commercial beauty products, Glow Box has also made space for products produced by local Self-Help Groups, providing local producers with an avenue to showcase and sell their products. Owner Yangki Tapak, along with co-owner Anu Talom, also spoke about the store’s accessories section, which includes a range of accessories for children as well. Tapak said that as a mother herself, she wanted to create a space where children could explore and choose from products that interest them. She added that the store is not limited to its current offerings and that more products and items will be introduced in the future to meet the changing needs and interests of customers. The initiative combines beauty retail with the promotion of local entrepreneurship and locally produced goods, offering customers a wider range of products at a single location. The inauguration marks another addition to Pasighat's growing beauty and lifestyle retail sector, with the store aiming to cater to the changing preferences of local consumers while supporting local producers and entrepreneurs.
