Singer Golden Panoramic 670G Vintage Sewing Machine

Video starts with several photographs of our Singer Golden Panoramic 670G Vintage Sewing Machine, with close ups of the worst blemishes. There are then several video clips showing our machine working, with demonstrations of how to select patterns. When selecting patterns and stitches it is important that you depress the side button and keep it depressed with your thumb on one hand while at the same time pressing in and sliding the pattern selector levers across to the desired letters (representing the stitches/patterns) with the other hand. You must check that the pattern selectors have clicked into place after removing your hand from the side button. If you start sewing and you haven't selected the stitches/patterns correctly, the machine will start a straight stitch instead. It may also make a loud noise as it attempts to put itself into the selected stitch/pattern. The mechanism for selecting stitches/patterns is a little bit like engaging the clutch and gear stick of a car! With a machine like this, where stitches and patterns are selected manually, it is IMPORTANT to follow instructions carefully. We advise you to download the PDF which is available free online (the manual is the same for the 670G and 650). On our video there are clips showing the beautiful stitches this machine produces. There are also clips showing how to thread up the machine and wind the bobbin. Our machine works beautifully, but has discolouration and many blemishes due to age, wear and tear. Nevertheless, this is all cosmetic as the machine still functions beautifully. As with many Vintage sewing machines it was necessary to remove the old capacitor in the foot pedal because it was causing a short circuit which made the machine start on its own without pressing the foot pedal. This fix (ie removing the old capacitor) cured this very common problem on old machine foot pedals and the foot pedal now functions correctly. The machine has been oiled using the correct sewing machine oil. Message me, if you have any questions.
