Spoilers for IMSCARED, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Metal Gear Solid 1, KinitoPET, OneShot, and Doki Doki Literature Club
Metahorror is a genre of horror that has risen in popularity over the past 16 years. Plenty of significant markers in gaming history have released that signaled the beginnings of the genre, especially Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and nearly every Metal Gear Solid game. Today we'll be talking about some of the more damaging horror titles of the gaming medium. While writing a video on Doki Doki Literature Club, I realized that I had more to say about the dangers of the genre, and thought that making this an entirely separate video would be better as supplementary material.
Happy early Halloween.
