Broken Aircraft - Stranded on Madeira for 2 days!

D-ATUO performing flight X32843 from Madeira to Munich suffered a transponder failure shortly before pushback resulting in the cancelation of the flight. Customs prevented the repairs the following day so we were stuck on Madeira for 2 days before another spare aircraft (D-ATUE) brought us back to Munich. I have to say, the staff at the hotel Vila Galé did an amazing job. They provided rooms, drinks and meals for every passenger on this flight. The flight crew did everything they could, I don't blame anyone for this situation - there's a lot of bad luck involved. We got home on September 3, 2019.
