Open Door by Wayne Webster

THE OPEN DOOR by Wayne Webster Along the long, dark road to a beginning Beyond all thoughts of losing or of winning Beyond the dream of time, that endless stretching line And on towards------- the open door Away beyond the reaches of desire That endless, burning, unquenchable fire Out to where the mind is free of time and memory And on towards------ the open door It’s always been open to those who see it Open to your mind if you can free it And only shut to those whose minds are dark and closed Who do not know there is an open door It does not lead to Heaven or to Eden There’s really nothing there for you to see then Nothing far and wide upon the other side When you are through---- the open door It does not lead to Heaven or to Eden There’s really nothing there for you to see then Nothing far and wide upon the other side When you are through---- the open door
