Russia has launched flight tests of the import-substituted version of its Ansat-M light multi-purpose helicopter at the Kazan Helicopter Plant. Replacing the previously used Canadian PW207K engines with domestically developed VK-650V turboshaft engines, this marks a major step toward aviation self-reliance. The Ansat-M also features Russian-made avionics, autopilots, and structural components.
