Decommissioned 1974 DEVE holeless hydraulic elevator @ Köpmangatan 7, Söderhamn, Sweden

BIG THANKS to the janitor who took time off to show us this elevator :-) Our tour includes a total of six elevators and four machine rooms in two different buildings. Köpmangatan 7-11 was built in 1974 with five elevators, all original. The future is uncertain. It can easily be prepared and put back into service if some future potential tenants request it. The elevator is simple and sturdy and easy to maintain, all it needs is full height photocells. Modernization is also an option, but expensive and unnecessary considering this elevator only serves two floors. Or it might simply never run again, which is sad but most realistic. The similar "sister" elevator K-50157 is in the same building and not very far away. It was recently put back into service - in original condition!
