I told myself this trip would be the one where I switched off. A week at Disney with two little ones, just the four of us, nothing to build and nothing to reply to. And honestly, I wasn't sure I'd believe it. What actually happened is that I was present. I worked a few hours here and there while the kids were napping, and that was it. This video is about why that was possible, and I want to be honest that it wasn't luck or willpower. The flats are in the hands of someone reliable and trustworthy, and the online side of my business keeps running through automations and advertising, so it doesn't need me glued to it. It wasn't free, though. I used to do all of it myself, I cleaned those flats with my son in tow, and handing things over costs money. I talk about that, and about the one or two moments from this trip I already know I'll keep. I don't want my kids to remember a mum who was busy. I want them to remember a mum who was there. If you're building something around small children, you don't have to build it all at once, you just have to keep building it in a way that gives your time back to you. If you missed it, here's the week before we went: [paste the link to your 11/10 video] Tell me in the comments what helps you be present when there's still a lot going on. I read every single one.
