In this 39-minute food adventure, I eat my way from a village breakfast in Huainan, Anhui to a late-night market in Shangrao, Jiangxi. The prices are insane: 7 yuan (about $1) for 28 handmade steamed buns, and 15 yuan (about $2) for a bowl of beef soup piled so high with sliced beef I was shocked. Then lunch at a countryside eatery: seared green chilies, stir-fried tofu with crispy pork lard, and braised grass carp with taro — three simple dishes that taste better than any restaurant. Finally, a Shangrao night market feast: dry-fried rice noodles, fall-off-the-bone spicy chicken feet, shrimp stir-fried with rice cakes, and taro dumplings in sour soup. If you ever visit Shangrao, don't just hit the tourist spots — eat the street food. #chinesefood #streetfood #asianfood
