Woodturning - The Double Crotch

In this woodworking video I use a woodturning lathe to turn a piece of green ash into a natural edge bowl. this unusual piece of wood is a union where 3 branches grew from on in a straight line meaning the piece has a double crotch and 2 perfectly formed sections of figure. when woodturning a piece like this I like to nibble away at it until I see what shape the wood wants to be, this is what is so enjoyable about woodturning. This piece of Ash was saved from a fire wood pile. The finish is shellac and Hampshire sheen high gloss.
