So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader, Team Star Leader or Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle. 5) When ask "Will you switch your Pokémon?" after knocking out an opposing Pokémon you must always choose the "Keep current Pokémon" Option. 6) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.
