Documenting architectural decorations in Gothenburg, an ongoing project. This episode is from Fredriksdal in Krokslätt. Narration: Welcome to city blocks Torne Träsk and Tåkern. We start with Torne Träsk… … at the address Mäster Bengtsgatan 2… … Villa Bergsätra from 1932 with a later circa 50 % extension. Mäster Bengtsgatan 4. Sten Branzell designed Villa Västbo in 1923. Mäster Bengtsgatan 6 and 8 are two identical circa 1970s houses. Fredriksdalsgatan 15. Gösta Johanson designed this house that was built in 1930. It was a shop until 1966. Fredriksdalsgatan 13. Villa Elvi from 1925 also had a shop, at the bottom left-hand window. Later brick-cladding has transformed the wooden house completely. Fredriksdalsgatan 11 and Kullegatan 25. Gustaf Engström designed this semi-detached house in 1920. Kullegatan 23. Torne Träsk is a large lake in the extreme north of Sweden. We continue to city block Tåkern, at the very edge of Gothenburg. Mäster Bengtsgatan 12 was called Villa Särla when it was built in 1929. Tåkern is a lake in Östergötland, famous for its bird life. Fredriksdalsgatan 19. arolineberg is one of the oldest houses in Fredriksdal, from 1908. Gröndalsgatan 3. Mäster Bengtsgatan 10. Apart from the drab cladding, it is identical to number 12. We search the shed for part 498 and the city block called Sommen.
