"In the Interest of Public Transparency": The Family of Grace Jennings Speaks Out

Interview with Arlo and Roma, family of Grace Jennings. Grace was murdered on October 29th 2022 by Isaac Apodaca and Kiara McCulley. In the years since, Grace's family has been victimized by the "Justice" System, doxxed by Santa Fe Police Department, treated like trash by the Deputy District Attorney on the case, exploited by true crime podcasters, and much more. In this interview Arlo and Roma speak about all of this in order to reclaim and correct the narrative about the case. They talk about how they have decided to not just take this abuse sitting down, but have actively fought back against their mistreatment. Hear about their actions during the trial of Isaac Apodaca last summer, and their plans for the upcoming sentencing on October 22nd. The sentencing happened to be scheduled by the court on October 22nd, 2026, also the National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality (022). We decided to coordinate an 022 event with a protest against the mistreatment of Grace's family on the day of sentencing. The system that inflicts police brutality and murder on Black and other oppressed people with impunity is the same system that failed Grace "in life and in death" to quote Arlo. It is the same system that prioritized true crime podcasters over the safety and preservation of Grace's family, and the same system that ultimately "took their money and turned them into victims" to quote Roma. *NOTE* This interview was filmed weeks before October 22nd the National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality, but was only able to be posted today on October 29th.
