In this episode of Malti-Kulturali: Xjenza u Teknoloġija, we explore the fascinating field of Palaeontology with Ms Rochelle Xerri. Although Malta is a small island nation, it possesses a rich palaeontological heritage. Millions of years ago, the Maltese Islands were home to environments and species very different from those we know today. Through the study of fossils, palaeontologists help us understand ancient ecosystems, the animals that once inhabited Malta, and the environmental changes that shaped the islands over time. The discussion explores the importance of fossils, how they are discovered and studied, and what they reveal about Malta's geological and natural history. From marine fossils embedded within Maltese limestone to evidence of prehistoric life, palaeontology provides a unique window into the distant past. This episode was produced by Year 1 students following the Advanced Diploma in Video Production at the Institute for the Creative Arts, MCAST, as part of the student-produced television series Malti-Kulturali: Xjenza u Teknoloġija. #MaltiKulturali #XjenzaUTeknologija #Paleontology #Fossils #Malta #MCAST #ICAMedia #VideoProduction #StudentProduction #Science #NaturalHistory
